Dr. Douglas Wright grew up in Tulsa, OK and attended Florida State University in Tallahassee where he received his degree in Exercise Science. Dr. Wright graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 2014. He was awarded a scholarship to attend SCO and also received a science award during his time there. After receiving his Doctorate of Optometry degree he relocated back to Tallahassee to work with the Florida State University team eye doctor. He was fortunate enough to work closely with all FSU athletics from 2014 to 2022. Dr. Wright worked both in Tallahassee and Perry, FL treating a wide variety of eye conditions including glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, dry eye syndrome, keratoconus, sports vision, and many others. In June 2023, Dr. Wright along with his wife and two children relocated to the Jacksonville area to be closer to family. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports, and playing cards, board games, and video games. Dr. Wright practices full scope optometry and looks forward to serving patients in the Jacksonville area for many years to come.
